What You’ll Do

As a Buyer, you’ll be responsible for purchasing the materials, supplies, machinery, and services that equip our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. You’ll collaborate across teams and showcase your organization and strategic planning skills to monitor inventory, manage delivery scheduling, negotiate with suppliers, and procure essential items that transform possibilities into realities for our customers and teams. Role Responsibilities: 

·Responsibility for purchasing electrical components, complex assemblies (electrical and mechanical), including deadline assurance, complaint processing, etc.

·Carrying out market analyses, including supplier search, selection, qualification and further development

·Preparation, implementation and follow-up of negotiations with suppliers at home and abroad

·Close cooperation with internal interfaces and stakeholders, e.g. design, project management, sales. Research and Development, Logistics, Trade, Legal, GPS etc.

·Development and implementation of strategies to achieve cost reductions from year to year

·Targeted questioning of existing processes and development of optimization potentials and their implementation

·Supporting the sourcing department in projects

·Support and promotion of project work

·Implementation of and compliance with AMAT-specific iQMS content in the area of responsibility as well as continuous process improvement within the area of responsibility

Minimum Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s degree in Electrical field

·3 plus years of related experience

·Good written and spoken German/English

·Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP 6.0 (Module MM) and application experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

·A solid understanding of the industry’s key business drivers  

·Good communication/interpersonal skills to explain complex information to others
