What You’ll Do

As a Technical Buyer, you will be responsible for the procurement of complex electrical and mechanical components, assemblies, and services that support our high-tech manufacturing operations. You will work closely with engineering, project management, and logistics to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality-driven sourcing.

Role Responsibilities: 

·  Procurement of electrical components and complex assemblies (electrical and mechanical), including delivery tracking and handling of supplier non-conformities

·  Conducting market analyses and identifying, qualifying, and developing suppliers

·  Preparing and conducting negotiations with domestic and international suppliers

·  Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders such as Engineering, R&D, Project Management, Sales, Logistics, Trade Compliance, and Legal

·   Developing and implementing cost-reduction strategies

·   Analyzing and optimizing procurement processes and implementing improvements

·   Supporting sourcing activities in cross-functional projects

·   Ensuring compliance with AMAT-specific iQMS standards and driving continuous improvement within your area of responsibility

·Implementation of and compliance with AMAT-specific iQMS content in the area of responsibility as well as continuous process improvement within the area of responsibility

Minimum Qualifications:

·   Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field

·   3+ years of relevant experience in technical purchasing or supply chain

·   Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken

·   Solid knowledge of MS Office and SAP (Module MM)

Preferred Qualifications:

·   Strong understanding of technical specifications and drawings

·   Experience in supplier evaluation and development

·Excellent communication and negotiation skills

·   Ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic, international environment
