We are looking for motivated and curious New College Graduates who are passionate about building high-quality software and eager to grow in a fast-paced engineering environment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy solving complex problems, continuously learning new technologies, and contributing to impactful products from day one.

As an NCG Data Engineer, you will work closely with our team to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and applications. You will gain exposure to modern data environment practices while collaborating across teams to deliver reliable and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and data pipelines utilizing python and cloud technologies
  • Optimize data extraction, loading, and transformation processes into the data environment
  • Ensure data quality and access controls are implemented consistently and according to data policy 
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure robust and maintainable code
  • Continuously learn new tools, frameworks, and technologies while contributing innovative ideas to improve development processes
  • Demonstrate curiosity and adaptability by learning, unlearning, and adopting better engineering practices as technologies evolve


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field
  • Hands on experience with Python and SQL
  • Familiarity with cloud services (GCP, Azure, AWS)
  • Understanding of data engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms
  • Exposure to REST APIs, data models and structures, and formats (parquet, avro, delta, iceberg) is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in team environments

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
