As a Buyer, you’ll be responsible for purchasing the materials, supplies, machinery, and services that equip our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. You’ll collaborate across teams and showcase your organization and strategic planning skills to monitor inventory, manage delivery scheduling, negotiate with suppliers, and procure essential items that transform possibilities into realities for our customers and teams.

Performs routine purchasing assignments that support the transition to a fully proficient, professional role. Applies basic knowledge of procurement principles, theories, and concepts. Develops competency through structured assignments and follows established procedures to resolve routine issues under guidance.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Supports negotiation of pricing, delivery, and purchasing terms under supervision. Manages non-strategic suppliers and handles procurements typically below defined spend thresholds. Supports sourcing of materials and services at optimal cost while meeting quality, reliability, and urgency requirements. Expedites deliveries to ensure timely material availability. Coordinates with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels and support production/service continuity. Partners with Accounting and Receiving teams to resolve discrepancies and operational issues. Collaborates with Engineering and MPM/SCM teams to recommend new suppliers. Issues RFQs, evaluates proposals, negotiates pricing and delivery timelines, and processes purchase orders. Ensures timely follow-up on orders, verifies deliveries, approves invoices, and maintains accurate procurement documentation. Reviews MRP outputs regularly and executes planning actions such as pull-ins, push-outs, and order cancellations based on priority and business needs..
