Role Description
Central TCM plays a significant role in enabling efficient product delivery, optimizing customer order hardware and software content, and supporting business growth through configuration excellence. This role supports BU‑aligned TCMs to ensure configuration integrity is maintained throughout the entire customer order lifecycle.
The Central TCM function provides research, analysis, tooling, and operational support to drive consistent, high‑quality configuration management across business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a support function to the BU TCM for configuration requests, issue investigation, and resolution.
- Research, analyze, and publish configuration impacts related to late configuration changes, CRF consolidation, NSR conversions, and configuration‑related NCs.
- Perform PCN research to identify upcoming configuration changes and provide impact analysis and recommendations.
- Support software configuration verification by auditing systems, completing Software Reference IDs, and assisting with Config ID integration and database support.
- Support configuration‑related project activities, including planning, tracking, and execution support for configuration freeze and validation milestones.
- Participate in New Product Integration (NPI) and Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP) to ensure ongoing configuration readiness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Use enterprise reporting tools to monitor configuration health, workflows, and trends.
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reporting views to enable TCM operational insights and decision‑making.
- Develop and improve configuration‑related business processes, tools, and support BKM proliferation.
- Support BU‑aligned TCMs to ensure consistent execution of configuration management standards and processes.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in configuration management tools and processes, including product architecture, BOM management, engineering changes, and configuration accuracy discussions.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with PLM, Engineering, Manufacturing, and BM to align configuration requirements and resolve complex issues.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment, manage shifting priorities, and collaborate across regions.
- Experience managing complex configuration histories with strong attention to traceability and data integrity.
- Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Tableau, data visualization, and statistical analysis.
- Ability to define, track, and deliver against multiple Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with business unit operations and product line strategy to align configuration activities with broader business objectives.
- Experience in account support, with the ability to translate customer requirements into actionable configuration plans.
- Knowledge of product lifecycle management and sustaining engineering practices.
Qualifications
- Solid foundation in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, systems, process) with direct experience in semiconductor equipment design, manufacturing, field installation, or maintenance and support
- More than seven years of semiconductor manufacturing or semiconductor equipment industry experience with a blend of technical depth and operational execution.
