Engineering Change (EC) Engineer – Electrical
EC Engineer manages the development and management of the Engineering Change Request process for assigned groups and/or product families or lines from documentation of initial problem statement through implementation and execution of the engineering change. Mediates problems across division lines to remove barriers preventing effective implementation of engineering changes. Ensures rapid and efficient processing of ECRs/ECOs, resulting in cost-effective change implementation.
Education – B.E/B.Tech (Electrical / Electronics & Communication Engineering)
Experience - 4 to 8 Yrs
Interfaces with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and/or new products. Launches, releases, approves and implements or issues engineering change requests as required to support design engineering and Operations with new and existing products.
Knowledge of ECR (Engineering Change Request)/Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes, forms, instructions, and policies
Working Knowledge of AutoCAD, UGNX, Electrical CAD tools: E3s, AutoCAD Electrical, Zuken, Altium.
Functional Knowledge
Knowledge of electrical systems and components like Control system, Power electronics, PCB in designs.
Knowledge in Industrial drives, Servo Motor drives and other electrical devices.
Understanding of end-to-end parameters of electrical/electromechanical components such as Switch gear items like MCB, MCCB, contactors, fuses, relays, switches, SSR, RF Generators, Sensors, Filters.
Prepare /Review Instrument Index, I/O list, Control Architecture, panel design and knowledge in choice of instrument parts like pressure transmitter, pressure gauge, vacuum gauges, thermo couples, RTD sensor, flow transmitters, PID controllers.
Key Skills:
- Electrical Design & Drafting – Expertise in creating and changing electrical schematics and layouts.
- Change Management – Strong understanding of ECO processes and documentation.
- PLM Systems – Skilled in using platforms like Teamcenter, Windchill, or Agile for managing engineering data.
- CAD Tools – Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, OrCAD, or similar software.
- Problem Solving – Ability to troubleshoot design issues and implement effective solutions.
- Regulatory Compliance – Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and other relevant standards.
- Communication – Clear and effective communication with stakeholders and team members.
