Key Responsibilities
Component Obsolescence & Lifecycle Management
- Perform comprehensive technical, supply chain, and business assessments for incoming and ongoing obsolescence projects, including review of SPS, ATOM, historical shipments, forecasted demand, part usage, material availability, inventory position, and projected stock-out dates.
- Develop and execute component obsolescence and lifecycle strategies that balance supply continuity, technical requirements, customer expectations, cost, inventory exposure, and implementation risk.
- Own and execute component roadmaps covering part obsolescence, replacement parts, alternate suppliers, redesigns, qualification requirements, and cost-reduction opportunities.
- Proactively identify lifecycle and supply risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize potential impact to manufacturing, installed-base support, and customer commitments.
Qualification & Change Implementation
- Define the strategy, scope, qualification plan, resources, milestones, and implementation approach for replacement and newly qualified parts.
- Lead cross-functional teams through technical evaluation, onsite qualification, approval, and implementation, ensuring actions and deliverables are completed according to plan.
- Manage the cut-in/change implementation process, including readiness reviews, material transition, stakeholder alignment, and post-implementation monitoring.
- Monitor field performance following implementation and coordinate corrective actions when performance, quality, reliability, or customer issues are identified.
Cross-Functional Program Leadership
