Responsible for validation, verification, and compliance of Industrial PC processor‑based products running Windows OS, covering software, hardware interfaces, and customer field use cases. The role works closely with suppliers, reliability, manufacturing, and cross‑functional teams to deliver compliant, robust products.
Key Responsibilities
•Define, develop, and execute system‑level and product‑level validation plans for Windows‑based Industrial PC platforms.
•Validate OS behavior, drivers, firmware interactions, BIOS, and application‑level functionality
•Own software validation workflows including:Test strategy and coverage definition,Testcase development and maintenance, Defect tracking, triage, and closure, Regression and release validation
•Execute software, system, and HW‑SW integration validation for Windows‑based IPC products
•Develop and manage product‑level and customer use‑case driven test cases
•Validate industrial communication interfaces: Ethernet, EtherCAT, DeviceNet, Modbus
•Own and support product compliance activities (CE, UL, electrical safety codes)
•Coordinate with suppliers and certification labs for compliance and validation closure
•Collaborate with Reliability, Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D CFT teams
•Support NPI, production issues, and field failure investigations
•Manage test stands/ lab setup, local EHS requirements
Required Skills
•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering with 5 to 8 years product validation experience in industrial PC
•Experience with Industrial PC / x86 processor platforms
•Strong knowledge of Windows OS validation and SW validation workflows
•Working knowledge of CE, UL, and electrical safety standards
•Hands‑on validation of industrial communication protocols
•Strong debugging, documentation, and cross‑team collaboration skills
Preferred
•Industrial automation or factory systems experience
Exposure to reliability testing, EMC/EMI, or manufacturing validation
