Job Description

To manage the associate team on completing the design support tasks from the product design teams, Continuous Improvement programs and new product development activities.

To support Sustaining teams on legacy tools, Release the parts and ordering for sustaining tools,

Responsible for maintaining the Scope of work for associates, recruitment and sustaining team support.

Work with Associate suppliers and meet the project needs.

Reporting task assignment and completion status to the stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Perform engineering analysis under general supervision

Design or modify mechanical engineering layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of moderate scope under general supervision.

Perform and document engineering tests under general supervision.

Generate related documentation for product release under general supervision

Coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components/equipment and identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve moderately complex technical issues

Troubleshoot a variety of mechanical problems of moderate difficulty

Implement concepts of moderate product issues and mechanical solutions

May be responsible for the design, development and implementation of custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and associated processes to enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle

•            Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents

Interpersonal Skills

•            Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations and team player.

Academic Qualifications

B.E/ B. Tech, MS/M.Tech in Mechanical

8+ years’ experience in managing design/engineering tasks

Must have knowledge of NX, Team center and Auto-cad.

Education & Experience: 

Bachelor's / master’s degree, in engineering (preferably Mechanical / Electrical) 

8+ years overall experience, with 5 years of demonstrated experience in WFE/relevant industry. 

Job Specific Knowledge: 

Strong technical knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical/electromechanical sub-systems  

Good understanding of processes related to manufacturing, Standard stock sizes, Welding, sheet metal, coatings, and plastics.
