Role Summary

As the Regional Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end accounting, statutory compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting for the India legal entity. You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with Indian GAAP, US GAAP/IFRS, and corporate policies, while partnering with global and regional stakeholders to drive process and reporting excellence with controls & compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Entity Accounting & Reporting, Statutory Compliance & Audit

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for the India legal entity.
  • Review financial statements (TB, BS and PL) in time and provide MIS report to controller and management
  • Manage all accounting transactions
  • Reconcile all the GL accounts on a monthly basis
  • Effectively Plan, Prepare, Review and Execute smooth Statutory audit working with Big
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with Indian GAAP and IFRS/US GAAP.
  • Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and transfer pricing documentation.
  • Drive automation and standardization of accounting processes.
  • Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
  • Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles
  • Ensuring control and compliance while enabling business
  • Managing and overseeing the operations corporate accounting and drive regional and global projects

Effectively Plan, Prepare, Review and Execute smooth Statutory audit working with Big four audit manager / partner within time.

  • Identify Risks to execution & plan for Mitigation.
  • Analyze the impact of accounting standard & draft accounting policies accordingly
  • Support paralegal compliance related to audit
  • Own statutory audits, tax audit support, and regulatory filings (MCA, RBI etc.).
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely closure of audits.
  • Ensure compliance with Companies Act, FEMA, and other applicable Indian regulations.
  • Provide support to tax related accounting and tax audits : Coordination with statutory auditors for annual accounts related to tax matters, Preparation of Contingent and CARO Schedule for taxation dues prescribed under companies Act.
  • Identify opportunity to Automate, Digitize, Standardize (simplify) the accounting processes wherever feasible.
  • Manage banking transactions
  • Review tax compliances and recons like TDS, GST etc and ensure BS and PL are rightly reflected

️ Internal Controls (IFC) & SOX Compliance

  • Design, implement, and monitor internal controls in line with IFC, SOX and COSO frameworks.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments and control testing.
  • Lead remediation of control deficiencies and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA mandatory.
  • MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification is a plus.

Experience

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting, audit, and compliance (post graduation).
  • Prior experience in a Big 4 firm and/or MNC/GCC environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Indian GAAP, US GAAP/IFRS, and statutory compliance landscape.
  • Experience managing statutory audits, tax audits, and regulatory inspections.

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep knowledge of accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work in a matrixed global environment.
