Software Engineer/Senior

Location: Bangalore

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Software Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to benchmark the software performance against various configurations, analyze the logs, prepare performance matrix and improve the throughput. You are required to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, sustain and document software changes for existing products, enhancements and defects.

  • Analyze, design, and implement assigned software projects using sound engineering principles and established business standards, practices, processes, and product requirements
  • Work with global teams to translate customer requirements into software requirements and identify solutions that operate effectively within product constraints
  • Troubleshoot a variety of complex software issues and support timely resolution
  • Provide timely status updates and proactively communicate software issues, risks, and other relevant information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute effectively as part of teams working on organizational initiatives and objectives
  • Build a strong understanding of the product domain and existing systems, and apply that knowledge to new development, enhancements, and customer-driven fixes

Experience, Skills and Educational Requirements:

  • Background in Industrial Automation
  • Prior experience in supervisory control systems software
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in product software development
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Science/Electronics with a strong background in industrial automation software
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills on Windows platforms using Microsoft technologies
  • Experience in throughput optimization and software profiling
  • Sound knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and operating system concepts
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working with global teams and collaborating with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with distributed teams across geographies
  • Self-motivated, with willingness to learn new skills and technologies as needed
  • Ability to meet objectives, goals, and deadlines with minimal supervision
