Overview
As a AIx Field Service Engineer, you'll serve as Applied’s direct liaison with our customers and quickly solve high-value problems on their behalf. By collaborating closely with our customers onsite to install, maintain, and upgrade Applied Materials equipment, and with our internal teams to improve business processes, you’ll make a significant impact on ensuring peak performance and deliver exceptional service, while becoming an integral part of Applied Materials' dynamic field team.
We empower our AIx Field Service Engineer through comprehensive on-the-job training and the use of advanced digital tools and immersive technology, including Augmented Reality (AR) to support the systems and processes that underpin everyday semiconductor chip production.

We are currently looking to hire an AIx Engineer for our newly structured Europe AIx team. This role is ideally based out of Grenoble, France (you will need to be present at our Grenoble site for at least 50% of working time).
What is AIx?
AIx stands for the Actionable Insight Accelerator—a secure platform that combines actionable data from more than 10,000 sensors, including specialized sensors, custom metrology, Applied digital twins, and our deep domain knowledge. This integration empowers our customers to accelerate their results by harnessing unparalleled insights. Our AIx team is a support function to our field service teams. They are the interface between the field team and the Digital Tools Enablement organization in the HQ.
Key Responsibilities
Identifies areas for improvement to drive continual improvement for digital tools. Globally the AIX Field Service Engineer serves as the main point of contact for customer site digital tools.
Internally explains difficult or sensitive problems building consensus with team and customers.
Supports complex problems looking for new ways to solve problems using numerous sources of information and data analytics.
Responsible for model propagation and dashboard configuration. Monitors signals for short and long term trends. Main point of contact for all digital tool issues within site and with HQ.
Provides mentoring on troubleshooting methodologies learning new tools and processes. Understands BKM modeling techniques.

NoThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
