The Procurement / Supply Chain Co-op is responsible for supporting the procurement of parts and materials by developing sources of supply and monitoring supplier performance, verifying receipt of items, authorizing payment, and managing and controlling inventory. We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented student who would like to work with a talented team of professionals in the challenging environment of the semiconductor industry.
You will join a cohort of students serving in vital roles in all areas of Engineering and Operations at ASMPT NEXX. You will participate in monthly co-op events including lunch with the company president, a career panel, and final presentations.
Key Responsibilities and Duties / Essential Functions:
- Maintain responsibility for the procurement of materials to support both production and aftermarket sales, as well as for engineering projects for NPI
- Generate quotations for components and assemblies
- Create and maintain purchase orders, expedite deliveries, verify all transactions and ensure proper financial authorization before the order is placed
- Track purchase orders and notify supply chain planning team of any material issues and shipment delays, while ensuring a timely resolution with the supplier
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels consistent with targeted inventory goals and production
- Lead total cost of ownership reduction efforts and identify and drive best practices to achieve cost reductions
- Support and manage supplier negotiations and identification and integration of new suppliers
- Perform all other essential related duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Undergraduate students pursuing a degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel

NoThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
