Key Responsibilities

  • Employees may specialize in planning activities involving production control, inventory control, process control, or shop floor control / Material Resources Planning (MRP) integrity
  • Maintains SAP work order release schedule that provides material on-time to manufacturing and engineering. Reschedules and/or completes no-charge, all discrete jobs as required. Increases component availability at time of release by performing pre-shortage analysis. Performs work order variance analysis. May train lower level personnel.
  • Works with buyers/planners to manage material affected by engineering change orders. Reviews and ensures proper disposition of Engineering Change Orders (ECO's). Performs regular system maintenance and audits to ensure system accuracy. Prepares status reports of all ECOs and ECRs in process.
  • Independent strategic / target-oriented implementation of Purchase Requisitions, Design Notifications, cost center requirements and initiation of procurement processes with the aim of minimizing the number of transactions in consultation with Sourcing and the superior.
  • Independent tracking of project deadlines, keeping track of the deadlines of all parties involved and participation in meetings to clarify deadlines.
  • Independent control of parts lists in SAP in preparation of production orders, in consultation with “BUY” and “MAKE”
  • Creation, controlling and monitoring production orders for a smooth assembly process, considering the lowest possible capital commitment (controlled build).
  • Control of materials / assemblies no longer required for use, usage check (in consultation with Design - Manufacturing Engineering) or control of use in follow-up projects.
  • Participation in Change Management (TRIAD / CCB) for Engineering Change Requests (ECR) to ensure smooth change management (ECN; Engineering Change Notes) of the assemblies in the procurement and assembly phase in terms of time, quantity, quality and costs.

Other Requirements:

  • Understand and interpret engineering BOMS / drawings & review them.
  • Candidate must be able to work independently with limited guidance.
  • Assertiveness and commitment are a given
  • Experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
  • Fluency in German & English
