Our subsidiary, the'Yield Technology Group'located in Feldkirchen (near Munich)develops and produceshigh-precision electron optical devices (electron microscopes)with a close collaboration withinternationally networked locations such as Taiwan, India and California .

To strengthen our Materials and Supply Chain team, we are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Commodity Manager (m/f/d), who will support and collaborate with other departments to ensure a prompt execution as well as efficient and smooth production.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Development, alignment, and implementation of commodity strategies

  • Management of all commercial aspects within relevant commodities (precise machining, ceramics, etc…)

  • Responsible for setting long term vendor base strategies

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining robust supply chain

  • Management of all costing aspects including Cost Reduction opportunities

  • Working together with the R&D team on all technology sourcing and costing aspects

  • Manage business challenges as well as regulatory issues and lead processes for product or service improvements

Qualification:

  • University degree in Engineering or related field of studies (second degree in Business Administration is an advantage)   

  • Relevant technological knowledge (Mechanical Engineering or Physics or related)

  • Minimum of 7 years purchasing experience in the engineering industry

  • Profound experience in strategic Suppliers Management

  • Strong commercial orientations, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

  • Capability to solve unique and complex problems having a broad impact on the supply chain business

  • Experience in leading cross- organization projects, leadership capabilities

  • Fluent  German and English language skills

  • Willingness for (inter)national business travels (up to 25%)
