Successful candidate will perform testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance on Ion Implanters and RF Plasma Systems, working closely with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem solving ability, and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards and proactively maintain a safe work environment.
  • Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform high voltage electrical, high vacuum, and mechanical diagnostics; modify and rebuild modules; and execute preventative maintenance.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineers and scientists to address high-value customer challenges and support new product development.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate logbooks, compile test data, and provide clear, detailed reports to project teams.
  • Testing & Validation: Conduct engineering tests, interpret results, and communicate results in detail.
  • Attention to detail: Work from schematics, diagrams, written procedures, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest process improvements and contribute to equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Training: Provides training to lower level Engineering Technicians

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate degree in a technical field preferred; high school diploma with 4–7 years of technician experience in a high-tech environment required.
  • Experience:
    • 2–3 years in semiconductor equipment maintenance or related field preferred
    • Experience with Applied Materials/Varian tools preferred
  • Technical Skills:
    • Understanding of electrical circuitry
    • Familiarity with vacuum systems and RF plasma technology a plus
  • Other Requirements:
    • Ability to travel when needed to support customer or project needs

This is a physically demanding position that often requires standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, the use of hand and power tools, and driving or operating heavy machinery including forklifts.

Additionally, because this position may involve working in a clean room, the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields may be required.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
