Position Overview
The Non‑Technical Program Manager will support operational and safety‑related programs within the engineering organization by coordinating resources, maintaining accurate documentation, and acting as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners. This role focuses on program execution, compliance, inventory coordination, and cross‑functional communication rather than software or systems development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage gas bottle inventory programs by maintaining accurate records and coordinating with gas vendors and business unit managers to ensure departmental requirements are met.
- Support pump refurbishment programs by partnering with business unit managers and external vendors to track scope, schedules, costs, and resource utilization.
- Ensure project, program, and process activities are properly documented and that required information is communicated effectively across functional teams.
- Support compliance with company policies related to documentation, confidentiality, intellectual property, safety, and environmental health requirements.
- Coordinate and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) inventory, including LOTO equipment, PAPR systems, SCBA gear, and other safety equipment required by Environmental Health & Safety.
- Assist with data collection and reporting related to material usage and financial resources.
- Serve as a primary point of coordination between internal teams and external partners to support timely and effective program execution.
- Perform inspections of laboratory spaces within SPG Engineering to ensure compliance with company safety and laboratory protocols; document, track, and follow up on inspection findings.
- Collaborate with the Environmental Health & Safety department to support corrective actions within SPG lab spaces.
- Assist with on‑the‑job training (OJT) related to crane operations, fall protection, and ergonomic lift equipment for engineering technicians.
- Learn and support the use of company safety and procedural websites, serving as a point of contact for the engineering technician group.
Required Skills and Experience
Functional Knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for tracking, reporting, and communication.
Additional Knowledge (Preferred)
- Familiarity with chemistry concepts, DOT requirements, and safety data sheets (SDS) is beneficial but not required.
Leadership
- No direct supervisory responsibilities; provides informal guidance and support to new or less experienced team members.

- Ability to resolve routine issues by evaluating options, applying sound judgment, and following established practices and procedures.

YesThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
