Role overview:
As a Junior Material Planner, you will support the planning, coordination, and control of materials required for semiconductor inspection and electron microscopy systems. You will work closely with purchasing, planning, engineering, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth material flow, timely availability, and alignment with production and development needs. This role is ideal for candidates early in their career who are eager to grow their expertise in material management and production planning.
Responsibilities :
Support plan adjustments by reacting to schedule or demand changes and helping create responsive material layers under guidance.
Monitor and coordinate end‑to‑end material flow, ensuring timely ordering, delivery tracking, and availability for production and engineering teams.
Act as a first point of contact for purchasing and planning for operational inquiries and coordination tasks.
Assist in maintaining system alignment, ensuring correct material status, BOM accuracy, and planning data in SAP.
Support NPI material ordering, including checking requirements, placing orders under supervision, and tracking delivery status.
Help monitor warehouse material issued to the NPI engineering team and ensure correct documentation for inspection and development phases.
Preferred Education & Skills :
University degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable field.
1- 2 years of experience in production planning, supply chain operations, purchasing support, or material management—ideally in a technical or mechanical engineering environment.
Basic understanding or hands‑on exposure to material management processes and supply chain workflows.
Working knowledge of SAP (MM/PP modules preferred).
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel for data handling and reporting.
Very good German and English communication skills both written and spoken.
Structured, analytical mindset with strong organizational skills.
Team‑oriented, communicative, and capable of working independently on assigned tasks.
High willingness to learn, develop, and take on increasing levels of responsibility over time within a dynamic environment.
