This Analyst position within our EMEA Center of Excellence (COE) team is based in the European headquarters in Hoofddorp, The Netherlands.

What you will do:

The COE Spending Analyst/ Financial Analyst is responsible for value-add delivery of tasks aligned under the spending as well as AAI/CTO pillar either directly or through the BPO (Business Process Outsourced partner).The Analyst serves as a process change expert and advisor for regional processes aligned to the COE model, while working in alignment with the other regional COE Process Owners (Asia, US) on implementation of standardized global processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Business partner of the European Corporate Functions Managers and the AAI/CTO group
  • Responsible for the spending forecast and actual spending tracking
  • Responsible to consolidate spending for EMEA and submits reporting packages including variance analysis and bridges to US Headquarters
  • EMEA spending process owner, identifies process improvement opportunities to drive time and cost efficiencies
  • Responsible for all spending related product deliveries to EMEA internal customers with support of our Business Process Outsourced partner (e.g. HC reporting)
  • Performs the monthly close tasks, including detailed spending reviews and accruals
  • Point of contact and responsible for EMEA cost center master data management
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities to drive time and cost efficiencies
  • Support Projects and ad hoc requests

Key Expectations:

  • Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines; maintain financial cycle deliverables, identify change, and drive items to closure with minimal management oversight
  • Able to work in ambiguous environment but still drive results, solve complex problems, exercises judgement based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
  • Be curious to understand the drivers of top and bottom-line growth
  • Excellent communication and writing skills and the ability to translate and simplify complex financial information and explain it to non-finance audience
  • Strong time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills: SAP, Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, PowerPoint)
  • Advanced Knowledge of the English language
  • Global perspective

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor or Master in Finance, Business Controlling or Accounting
  • 5+ years of experience in a Financial analysis/Business Controlling position
