As a Site Director, Customer Engineer - ESMC Long-Term Assignment, you'll serve as Applied’s direct liaison with our customers and quickly solve high-value problems on their behalf. By collaborating closely with our customers onsite to install, maintain, and upgrade Applied Materials equipment, and with our internal teams to improve business processes, you’ll make a significant impact on ensuring peak performance and deliver exceptional service, while becoming an integral part of Applied Materials' dynamic field team.

This is site Director who will take 2 years of long-term assignment 長期外派 for TSMC Global Account in Dresden, Germany.
Business Environment
Applied Materials AGS (Applied Global Services) Business Unit is responsible for driving our business of equipment installation and warranty extended management, as well as business of maintenance support, refurbishment, upgrades, etc. Our AGS team collaborates with a lot of Taiwan critical customers to predict & solve manufacturing challenges, and make equipment & factories more productive. This makes our AGS team become trusted business partners for our customers which results in revenues increase year over year globally!
Now we are looking for Site Director leading our Customer Engineering group in Dresden, Germany. Team includes Site Managers and Engineers. This job will provide a great career growth opportunity by involving business strategy development, managing multiple of field service groups which keep growing and responsible for all issues within the division in Applied Materials Taiwan.
What You’ll Do
Manages professional Customer Engineers in TSMC global account in Dresden, Germany, and is accountable for the performance and results of a team within own job family. Adapts business unit, department, site or sub-function plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business unit, department or sub-function plan; receives guidance from manager. Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers.
Role Responsibilities
Understand and follow Applied Vision, Mission, Value, and TSMC expectation, quick response, and technique oriented discussion.
Directs and is responsible for ESMCGermanybusiness issues across account site including customer satisfaction, P&L, budget management.
Anticipates future customer needs and directs the delivery of customer service commitments and development of and the implementation of solutions to customer's high value problems.
Is the primary interface to the site account on all operational and service commitments. Owns the overall site responsibility for customer satisfaction. Interfaces with internal and external customers on business and operational issues involving the company's service commitments.
Ensures that the site maintains a workforce with the requisite skills and capabilities to meet current and future customer service requirements. Is responsible for individual and employee development and employee satisfaction.
Works with senior business group management team to ensure that such programs, strategies, and processes address high value problems for the Business Unit and are aligned with the organization’s direction.
Provides approval guidelines and leadership to reporting managers in the area of long-term program, strategy, and process design.
Defines performance metrics and reports on the site's progress against business unit and account specific goals.
Qualifications
15 years above of working experience in Semiconductors Field Team. Equipment supplier (vendor site) with experience in managing multiple sites with after service business acumen is preferred.
At least 7 years above people management experience. >2yr site director/senior manager is preferred or need to have experience in leading multiple layers organization.
1 year above experience in working with TSMC is preferred
Module experience: Is not limited in specific module. Welcome senior leader who has expertise in any technical module, ex: PVD/CVD/ETCH/FEP/CMP/IMP...etc.

Is capable to build up long-term relationship with customer
Language: Must have both English and Chinese communication skill
