Job Summary

As a Manager, Process Support Engineer in the PDC group, you’ll lead a team focused on optical inspection technologies for both advanced technology (AT) and advanced packaging (AP). You’ll work closely with key customers—such as TSMC—to identify high-value problems, drive adoption of new inspection solutions, and support yield enhancement efforts. You’ll also mentor engineers, guide technical development, and collaborate with internal teams to influence product direction and ensure successful customer engagement.

Role Responsibilities:  

  • Engage with key customers (e.g., TSMC) to identify high-value problems and co-develop solutions in optical inspection and yield enhancement.
  • Drive the adoption of new inspection technologies through demos, evaluations, joint development programs (JDPs), and new product introduction (NPIs).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to influence product roadmaps and ensure alignment with customer needs.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Process Support Engineers, providing technical guidance, training, and performance development.
  • Oversee on-site support activities including system installation, troubleshooting, and optimization of inspection tools.
  • Analyze complex process issues using DOE and statistical methods; deliver clear, data-driven recommendations.
  • Manage resource planning, activity forecasting, and ensure high-quality execution of customer engagements.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership or people management role.
  • Hands-on experience with optical inspection tools is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of defect detection, yield enhancement, and advanced logic process integration; experience in advanced packaging technologies is considered a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams, manage complex projects, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal teams and senior-level customers.
