**This is a hands-on position with most of the work to be accomplished inside the MIT Nano cleanroom located in Cambridge, MA

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison between the customer, Labsand the Applied Business Unit for assigned projects, ensuring clear understanding of external customer and internal stakeholder requirements and delivery of applicable solutions.
  • Design, assess, and run processes, take measurements, and interpret data.
  • Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output. Generate internal and external documentation for products, presentations, technical reports and generate process engineering specifications.
  • Drive the adoption of new technology at the customer site. Work closely with customers to demonstrate and introduce new technologies at customer sites, through Demos, on site evaluations, Joint Development Programs.
  • Check and approve operational quality and continuous improvement of system equipment.
  • Utilize techniques to characterize hardware, define methods and apply new technologies to characterize hardware, and/or perform hardware characterization on a wide range of complex systems for multiple products, within safety guidelines.
  • Independently handle the entire job, deliver professional document with very limited supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrates in-depth understanding of concepts, theories and principles in Etch/CVD/PVD/RTP (either one or multiple products is preferred) and basic knowledge of other related job families.
  • Applies understanding of the industry and how own area contributes to the achievement of objectives.
  • Identifies and resolves technical, operational, and organizational problems.
  • Guided by policies and resource requirements within business unit, department, or sub-function.
  • Guides, influences, and persuades others internally in related areas or externally.
  • More than 5 years’ experience within the semiconductor field. Etch, CVD, PVD, or RTP experience is preferred.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Basic semiconductor integration knowledge, better with SiC, GaN, GaAs, etc compound areas working experience.

Preferred Experiences

  • Applied Materials 200mm ETCH, CVD, PVD, or RTP process, hardware, and facilitation background.

U.S. Salary Range:

$108,000.00 - $148,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
