Overview
As a IT Customer Engineer (Metrology and Inspection(PDC)), you'll serve as Applied’s direct liaison with our customers and quickly solve high-value problems on their behalf. By collaborating closely with our customers onsite to install, maintain, and upgrade Applied Materials equipment, and with our internal teams to improve business processes, you’ll make a significant impact on ensuring peak performance and deliver exceptional service, while becoming an integral part of Applied Materials' dynamic field team.
We empower our IT Customer Engineer (Metrology and Inspection(PDC)) through comprehensive on-the-job training and the use of advanced digital tools and immersive technology, including Augmented Reality (AR) to support the systems and processes that underpin everyday semiconductor chip production.

Key Responsibilities
Performs server troubleshooting leading to root cause and problem solution
Performs complex troubleshooting for tool computing
Works with external vendors that provide support 3rd party H/W
Responsible to tool/server recovery following part replacement
Provides technical guidance to other CE on computing
Works in collaboration with experts on server installation, can lead certain installation tasks independently
Technical English is very important
Computing/IT experience is a must (we can catch up on FAB and basic intro to PDC tools as part of the training)
T/S logic is important but must be combined with computing knowledge
Self learning is important (some of the materials are self paced training, all of course are in English)
