As part of our Applied Global Services organization, we're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead a team of Customer Engineers supporting one of our most strategic customer environments in Ireland.
This is a highly visible leadership role offering the opportunity to combine people leadership, customer engagement, operational excellence, and business management in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

What You'll Do
As an Operations Manager, you will lead a team of field service professionals responsible for supporting critical semiconductor manufacturing equipment and delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
You'll:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Customer Engineers, creating a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Build trusted relationships with customers and act as a key point of contact for operational and service delivery activities.
- Drive operational performance across safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and business objectives.
- Partner with internal stakeholders including Technical Support, Training, Finance, HR, Spares, and Sales to ensure effective service delivery.
- Manage workforce planning, hiring, training, and resource allocation to support both current operations and future business growth.
- Monitor operational and financial performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery, and profitability.
- Lead installation, startup, warranty, and service support activities to ensure customer commitments are achieved.
- Support technical escalation management and help remove barriers to successful execution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance team performance and customer outcomes.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a leader who combines strong operational discipline with excellent people leadership and customer management skills.
You will ideally bring:
- Experience leading technical teams within semiconductor, engineering, manufacturing, field service, or other complex operational environments.
- Proven people management experience, including coaching, performance management, and talent development.
- Strong customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering results in a fast-moving environment.
- Sound commercial awareness with an understanding of operational performance, budgeting, and cost management.
- Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to influence across a matrix organisation and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A passion for safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience leading technical teams in a customer-facing environment.
- Semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, engineering services, or field service experience preferred.
- Flexibility to travel within the region and internationally as business needs require.

NoThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
