As a AIx Field Service Engineer II - (E2) - IMP, you'll serve as Applied’s direct liaison with our customers and quickly solve high-value problems on their behalf. By collaborating closely with our customers onsite to install, maintain, and upgrade Applied Materials equipment, and with our internal teams to improve business processes, you’ll make a significant impact on ensuring peak performance and deliver exceptional service, while becoming an integral part of Applied Materials' dynamic field team.

We empower our AIx Field Service Engineer II - (E2) - IMP through comprehensive on-the-job training and the use of advanced digital tools and immersive technology, including Augmented Reality (AR) to support the systems and processes that underpin everyday semiconductor chip production.

What You’ll Do

AIX Field Service Team: AIX is a secure platform that combines actionable data from over 10,000 unique and specialized sensors. This team accelerates Digital Tool adoption, captures valuable engineering solutions, and supports corporate productivity goals. By connecting to tools in the field, they can quickly extract information and deploy models to improve equipment performance through faster diagnostics and trend monitoring.

Now we are looking for a Alx Field Service Engineer to involve Digital Tool develop with Digital Tool team and deployment with FSO (Field Service Organization). Data analysis of customer HVP (High Value Problem).

Role Requirement

  • 5+ years of experience in working at Ion Implant tools. Welcome CE/PSE to job bid this opportunity.

  • Drive high value data analytics and diagnostic with field service team to expedite solution pathways and support overall equipment efficiency improvement in the field.

  • Create differential service delivery through continuous improvement in applying Applied advanced analytics capabilities and generate opportunities for value capture.

  • Familiar with Project-management / JMP / Tableau / Python is plus

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifies and starts to drive areas for improvement for digital tools. Globally the power user serves as the main point of contact for customer site digital tools

  • Internally explains and starts communicating difficult or sensitive problems to upper management building consensus with team and customers.

  • Supports complex problems looking for new ways to solve problems using numerous sources of information and starting to share with upper management

  • Responsible for model propagation and dashboard configuration. Starts to provide feedback to Package owners on content.  Main point of contact for all DT issues within site and with HQ. 

  • Mentors on troubleshooting methodologies on specific tools and other tools processes. Understands BKM modeling techniques becoming highly knowlegeable in other tools and systems.
