Key Responsibilities
Supplier Quality & Process Improvement
- Lead and support supplier process improvements, especially in machining, welding, and quality management system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and improve standards and quality control procedures.
- Participate in supplier audits and ensure compliance with Applied Materials’ quality standards.
Project management
- Lead supplier-related improvement projects from planning to execution, ensuring timeline, deliverables, and cost targets are met.
- Develop project schedules, risk registers, and milestone tracking mechanisms for supplier process improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams to drive alignment and ensure smooth execution of supplier projects.
- Monitor project status, identify roadblocks early, and implement mitigation plans with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Report project progress, KPIs, and key risks to regional/global leadership.
Internal Communication / Governance
- Attend and contribute to weekly engineering and quality meetings, including action item tracking and reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Supplier Quality & Process Improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in supplier quality engineering, machining/welding process control, or manufacturing quality systems.
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and conduct detailed DWG reviews.
- Proficiency with quality and problem‑solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Is/Is Not, statistical analysis tools, and platforms like JMP.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and experience conducting or supporting supplier audits.
- Display/Semiconductor Process Kit & Equipment Knowledge
(Mainly understanding Display-side Process Kits – susceptor/ shadow frame/ other components used in CVD, PVD, OLED and experience of PQP/ PFMEA documentations)
Project Management
- Demonstrated ability to lead supplier‑related improvement projects, including timeline planning, milestone tracking, and risk management.
- Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment and timely project execution.
- Skilled in monitoring project progress, identifying risks or roadblocks early, and driving mitigation with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficient with project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent systems.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent improvement initiatives while maintaining high attention to detail.
Communication & Collaboration
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with global engineering, quality, and operations teams.
- High level of proficiency in English for smooth communication with international stakeholders.
- Fluent in Korean, with strong capability to convey technical and project‑related information clearly.
- Ability to participate in and contribute to engineering/quality governance meetings, including action-item tracking and structured reporting.
