We are looking for a Product/Program Manager to join the SW GenAI Core Team, which is driving a transformative corporate initiative to achieve significant productivity improvement through AI adoption, starting with our software organization and expanding across the entire R&D landscape. The role involves validating implementation of AI productivity playbooks across product groups, tracking adoption metrics, gathering stakeholder feedback, and connecting insights to surface opportunities and gaps in our GenAI transformation journey.

What's in it for you?

This is an opportunity to be at the heart of Applied Materials' AI transformation, impacting the entire R&D organization while working with cutting-edge GenAI tools and methodologies. You'll gain exposure to multiple business units, collaborate with diverse stakeholders across the organization, and play a critical role in shaping how we adopt and measure AI-driven productivity improvements. Your insights and execution will directly contribute to ambitious organizational goals and drive real impact.

Our Group:

The SW GenAI Core Team is a newly established team (~5 people) leading Applied Materials' corporate-wide AI-Driven Productivity Program. We develop methodologies, frameworks, AI tools, best practices (BKMs), and playbooks while defining adoption plans and measurement tools to achieve ambitious productivity improvement targets by end of 2026. We operate in a dynamic, matrix-management environment collaborating across PDC R&D centers in Israel and Bangalore, working closely with Applied Materials HQ AI leadership to align on strategy and best practices.

What you'll be doing:

  • Validate Implementation Across Groups: Track and validate the adoption of productivity playbooks across multiple software product groups, ensuring implementations meet defined acceptance criteria and organizational standards.
  • Discovery & Gap Analysis: Create and maintain productivity heat maps per product, identify gaps between current practices and productivity goals, and surface insights that indicate missing capabilities or process improvements needed.
  • Voice of Customer: Act as the bridge between field teams and the SW GenAI Core Team by gathering feedback from software managers, team leads, and product stakeholders, synthesizing patterns, and escalating issues to leadership.
  • Data-Driven Monitoring: Track adoption of metrics through dashboards and scorecards, monitor products against acceptance criteria, and provide regular status updates on playbook adoption and productivity improvements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with software managers, team leaders, product managers, and system engineers across multiple groups to facilitate adoption, organize hackathons and adoption events, and ensure alignment on productivity goals.
  • Connect the Dots: Synthesize disparate feedback from various stakeholders to identify systemic issues, surface opportunities for new playbooks or tools, and contribute to the strategic direction of the productivity program.
  • Make Things Happen: Drive execution with a bias for action. We believe in delivery over endless planning - you'll be expected to take ownership, navigate obstacles, and ensure initiatives move from concept to reality.

What Should You Have?

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field. MBA is an advantage.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience with demonstrated project management skills.
  • Technical background or ability to understand software development concepts and SDLC
  • Product mindset - ability to think strategically about solutions, understand user needs, and drive product-oriented outcomes.
  • Get things done attitude - proven track record of executing initiatives, driving projects to completion, and delivering results with minimal supervision.
  • Data literacy with hands-on skills - ability to analyze metrics, interpret dashboards, derive actionable insights from data, AND technically connect to/extract data from ticketing systems, project management tools, and data sources for decision-making.
  • Stakeholder management - experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders across multiple teams and demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Attention to detail while maintaining the ability to see the big picture - balance tactical execution with strategic thinking.
  • Connecting the dots - ability to synthesize feedback from multiple sources, identify patterns, and surface actionable insights.
  • AI mindset with hands-on experience - natural inclination to leverage GenAI tools in daily work, openness to AI-augmented workflows, and proven ability to build small projects or prototypes with AI tools. This role requires rolling up your sleeves and working directly with data and AI systems, not just coordinating meetings.
  • Fast learner and embrace change - ability to quickly understand technical concepts, adapt to new tools and methodologies, and operate comfortably in a fast-evolving environment where priorities shift, new AI capabilities emerge frequently, and agility is essential.

What Gives You an Advantage?

  • Analytics or data visualization experience.
  • Prior experience in semiconductor or technology industry.
