Job Description :ProductSafetyEngineer  

We are looking forproductsafetyEngineerto apply their technicalexpertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positivelyimpactour productssafetycompliance with required regulationsand differentcustomers’requirements.

Youwillplay a key role in the planning, and executionon all aspects ofproductsafetyfor each phase of the development lifecycle.

Other duties will include guiding cross-functional teams through thesafetyBKM.

Our group:

Our groupis responsibleforthe entire product safety process inProductDevelopment, from kickoff to product release.

Weensurethatour developed productsarecompliancewithglobal andcustomersregulatory requirements.

Our products are designedtoindustry standards and customer specifications. These requirements aredeterminedby review of the specification, andit’srequired touse critical thinking skills todetermineproper safety requirementsforthe product.

Whatyou'll be doing?

  • Prepare Hazardanalysis& Riskanalysis report.

  • Prepare Functional safetyconcept, documentand review functional safety requirements with customerand other engineering disciplines.

  • Consolidate & customize the customers and global regulation safety requirements 

  • Prepareproductsafety requirements-determinethe safety performance based on safety analysis for target architecture.

  • Prepare Safetyplan& Verificationplanandassureproduct compliance with all different safety requirements.

  • Work closely in theearly stagesof the product development with the project managers and multiple groups across the organization(Elec, Mech, Motion, Computing, SW, Operation, Manufacturing, Marketing & Support) In order to ensureallsafety aspects closure.

  • Support in testing and validation to ensure system designs meetsafetyrequirements.

  • Ensures thatsafety relateddocumentation (e.g., requirements, test, and acceptance documentation) forproductisaccurateand reflects their trueneeds.

  • Participate insafetypanelreviews,coordinates with engineering functions to define requirements.

  • Participates in project team meetings, including formal design reviews.

  • Lead periodic NPI projectssafetymaster plan meetings.

  • Keepsyourmanager and other stakeholders apprised of projectsafetystatus and ongoing issues.

  • Provide real-time and engineering support for safety events investigations

Whatyou shouldhave?

  • B.Sc. in an Engineering discipline-preferably Electronics

  • 5 - 10 years of experiencewith multidisciplinary andcomplex products.-preferablyproductsafety engineer 

  • Familiarity with manufacturing,field installation & support aspects

  • Familiarity withglobal safety regulatory standardsadvantage

  • Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication-Excellent English skills – speak, write, read.

  • Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team,maintainpositive and professional relationships, and contribute to our inclusive culture

  • Resiliency and a passion for problem solving.

  • Self-motivatedandableto managemultiple projects in parallel.
