Application Engineer
Job Mission
We are looking to hire a highly motivated, hands-on application engineer to support our cutting-edge AR/VR devices. This position will be in our advanced lithography group located in Sunnyvale, California.
This Job requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills. Builds knowledge of the company, processes and customers. Solves a range of straightforward problems. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction
Key Responsibilities
Responsible to support process related CD metrology (CD-SEM) and defect review(DR-SEM) , create recipes, build SOPs, BKMs, recipe CIPs , run production and engineers support , training other engineers.
Takes an active part in the tool related test and qualifications, monitoring data execution and collection , tool health monitoring test etc. Support team members for engineering projects metrology requests and data analysis
Supports daily operations in the lab and in the field when required. Regularly interacts with senior engineers and Hardware engineers if tool has issues, can help do basic trouble shooting, also can identify and define the problem status , work with HW team to solve the issue.
Prepare and presentations regarding metrology and defect review related issues and problem solving, share and promote new ideas and capabilities.
Be flexible and willing to learn conventional and new lithography technologies with different type of substrates. The lithography tool can be DUV, h-line or i-line etc
Functional Knowledge
Regarded as the technical expert in the cd SEM and DR SEM
Demonstrates in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the function
Hands on experience in photolithography will be a strong plus
Hands on experience on metrology tool like X-SEM, Camtek will be plus

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Materials Science and Engineering or equivalent, Electric/Photonic Engineering or equivalent.
Years of Experience:
3+ Years
Work Experience:
3+ years of hands on experience in semiconductor industry
Lithography process
Film and metrology like CD-SEM tools
Failure analysis ability with SEM Camtek, AFM, etc., will be a plus
Layout design with Python, MatLab or equivalent, will be a plus
