Applied Materials’ PPB is searching for a student interested in a Co-Op to join our team. The position will entail the following:

• Assist with localized encapsulation process, to include: tool preparation, processing wafers, measuring wafers, documentation.  Some chemical handling required.
• Conduct experiment of thermal heating effect on local ink flow and curing
• Lead small development projects involving experiment running and wafer metrology
• Support process engineering through procurement, shipping, and inventory functions

Requirements

• Student must be pursuing a Master’s, or PhD degree program in Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field
• Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
• Experience in semiconductor processing or manufacturing preferred
• Quick learner
• Available for a 6-month Co-Op in Santa Clara, CA

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
