General Profile:

Requires in-depth knowledge and experience. Uses best practices and knowledge to improve products and services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, collect data, analyze and compile reports on materials and process tests. Hands-on material and process optimization on relevant tools.

2. Conduct feasibility testing of new materials/chemicals. Assist in the process/tool development and troubleshooting. Validate new chemicals/materials and transfer the knowledge to process and tool building teams.

3. Technical management of supplier and academic collaborations on new chemical compounds used in Applied's field of business.

4. File relevant patent applications.

Job requirements:

Bachelor, Master or PhD in Material Science, Chemistry, ME, EE or related fields.

In-depth knowledge and experience in nanofabrication, process optimization, patterning, lithography, nanoimprint, etc.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Motivated self-starter with solid organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work on multiple projects and with cross-functional teams

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
