*This role is up to 20 hours per week during the academic schoolyear and 40 hours per week over the academic summer break. Targeting a start date in August or September 2026. Location can be either Santa Clara, CA or Austin, TX.*

Applied Materials’ is searching for an intern to join our team! The intern will work part-time during the school year and full-time over summer breaks. Responsibilities of the intern will include the following:
- Perform research and calculations required to complete a variety of tax compliance, planning and forecasting duties
- Assist the Tax department in preparation of sales tax, property tax, federal and state income tax and international transfer pricing calculations
- Provide audit support and project support as needed
- A candidate will possess strong written and verbal skills, and be proficient in Excel and Word
Requirements
- Student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Sophomore candidates preferred
- Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale

NoThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
