We are looking for world-class technical talent to join our Applied Materials Technical Infrastructure team.  This is an onsite position at our R&D site in Santa Clara, CA.

Scope and Objectives:

The R&D Lab supports Applied Materials most advanced semiconductor machines including supporting equipment and facilities infrastructure.

The position is a Facilities Business Operations Manager working within Technical Infrastructure group. This position manages all supporting functions to the Technical Facilities Infrastructure teams.

Facilities Business Operations Manager

Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices. Solves problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. The ability to work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. Leads functional teams or projects.

Key Responsibilities

Manage Contingent Worker badging process, create and manage mandatory course completion reports and control AMAT device issuance/support.

Create Purchase Requisitions for all Tech Fac teams includes managing PO reconciliations and reporting. Super-User level in SAP Ariba.

Create and report financial spend on project related PO’s, invoice processing and PO/Project close-out.

Aligns with Global Sourcing & Procurement services on vendor contracts, renewals and RFP’s.

Collaborates with multiple Business Groups.

Responsible for the execution and/or analysis of multiple projects of moderate complexity.

Other Requirements: This position may require standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, the ability to distinguish between colors and the ability to work in a noisy environment.

Additionally, because this position also may involve working in a clean room, the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields may be required.

This position is a 100% on-site position.

Functional Knowledge

  • Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline and broadens capabilities

  • High level of knowledge in applications such as, Power Apps, Tririga, SharePoint, Super-User level in SAP/Ariba, Fieldglass and WorkDay

  • Financial accounting fundamentals including accruals, budget analysis and forecasting

  • Database management including agile methodology and gathering software requirements in Confluence 

  • Document management including controlled document systems, Intellectual Property restrictions, writing process maps and procedures

  • Excel skills including Pivot tables, data queries, xlookup, and charting

  • Semi-Conductor industry knowledge

  • Facilities Operations knowledge

Business Expertise

  • Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work

  • Development and reporting of metrics and dashboards

  • Project management knowledge including developing project plans and schedules

Leadership

  • Will manage a team of Contingent Workers and provide informal guidance to team members

  • Will need to create and present management level presentations to different levels of management 

Problem solving

  • Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience, judgment and precedents 

  • Ability to implement efficient solutions and continuously strive for process improvement

  • Will need to coordinate solutions between AP, Purchasing, and supplier to resolve billing and PO issues

U.S. Salary Range:

$124,000.00 - $171,000.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
