Job Summary
Reporting directly to the HI Business Unit CFO, the HI Portfolio Lead serves as the finance leader for portfolio strategy, investment governance, and decision support across the Heterogeneous Integration (HI) business. This role is responsible for driving financial analysis and business insights that optimize investment allocation, portfolio performance, revenue growth, and long-term profitability.
The successful candidate will partner closely with executive leadership, product management, engineering, operations, business development, and finance teams to evaluate strategic investments, develop business cases, assess portfolio tradeoffs, and influence key business decisions. This position leads a team of finance professionals responsible for portfolio analytics and reporting and plays a critical role in shaping the future direction of the HI portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Strategy & Investment Management
- Partners with executive leadership to evaluate portfolio performance, identify growth opportunities, and recommend actions that maximize long-term financial returns.
- Lead financial analysis of strategic investments, including new product introductions (NPI), technology roadmaps, ecosystem partnerships, acquisitions, and business development initiatives.
- Develop and maintain business cases, financial models, ROI analyses, and scenario planning frameworks to support investment decisions.
- Monitor program milestones, market developments, competitive dynamics, and financial outcomes to guide portfolio strategy and resource allocation.
- Drive portfolio prioritization discussions by assessing investment tradeoffs, risk-adjusted returns, and alignment with business objectives.
- Establish portfolio governance processes and decision frameworks to improve capital allocation and investment effectiveness.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Support annual planning, forecasting, and investment reviews for the HI portfolio.
- Consolidate and analyze portfolio-level revenue, profitability, operating expense, capital expenditure, and return-on-investment metrics.
- Develop executive-level dashboards and reporting that provide actionable insights into portfolio performance.
- Lead ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic business decisions and senior management reviews.
Packaging Portfolio & Ecosystem Support
- Provide financial leadership for advanced packaging portfolio investments across virtual business units.
- Partner with regional finance teams to support packaging labs, development centers, and strategic initiatives.
- Support business development and ecosystem partnership evaluations through financial analysis, valuation, and performance metrics.
- Consolidate and communicate overall packaging portfolio performance and investment recommendations to executive leadership.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and business partnership.
- Establish clear priorities, objectives, and development plans to ensure team success and capability growth.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across portfolio management processes, reporting tools, and financial analytics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including portfolio management, strategic finance, FP&A, corporate development, or investment analysis.
- Semiconductor, technology, manufacturing, or related industry experience are strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience evaluating investment opportunities and developing business cases for strategic decision-making.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
- Experience managing Opex, Capex and resource planning processes.
- Proven ability to influence executive-level decisions through data-driven insights and compelling recommendations.
- Successful track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools preferred.

YesThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
