Key Responsibilities

Keep abreast of industry technology trends and developments and strategic partner roadmaps. Collaborate with internal customers and strategic partners, to identify, evaluate and recommend new technology solutions to address key business needs 

Directs personnel responsible for the build, test and deployment of complex IT solutions. Ensures these solutions are technically sound, cost effective  and adhere to accepted industry best practices. Utilize data and metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Leads development and execution of application strategy and technical roadmap.  Responsible for defining and managing  the cost structure and lifecycle of IT product development model and SLAs.   Ensures service delivery and SLAs are met.  

Directs execution and  guides others in reviewing and monitoring complex production systems support  to ensure continuous, effective performance; determines modifications as needed.

Plan and manage projects to ensure effective and efficient execution in line with established processes and guidelines and guardrails of scope, timeline, budget and quality

Defines and implements strategic organizational goals and objectives and determines the optimal progression to obtain these goals. Provides active leadership by  attracting, developing, and retaining personnel and continuously improving organizational capabilities.

Work with business leaders to develop IT enablement strategy, plan the BU portfolio and establish appropriate metrics to measure portfolio value. Actively manage BU portfolio

Overview

We are seeking a Director of IT to lead the strategy, delivery, and ongoing evolution of Finance technology platforms. This role owns the end‑to‑end roadmap—from vision through deployment and value realization—and partners closely with senior Finance executives and IT leadership to deliver durable business outcomes at global scale.

Role Summary

The Director of IT is responsible for overseeing the strategy, architecture, and implementation of enterprise Finance systems. This individual provides IT leadership and accountability for crucial financial processes such as Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, Treasury and Cash Management, Tax, Financial Master Data, Time and Pay, as well as M&A. Solutions are developed to meet standards, offer scalability, incorporate automation where appropriate, and ensure compliance. This leader efficiently optimizes complex global operating frameworks, advances standardization and automation, delivers precise real-time financial information, and maintains rigorous controls, compliance measures, and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Technology Leadership

  • Own the end‑to‑end Finance technology strategy and multi‑year roadmap for Corporate Accounting, Tax and Treasury.
  • Provide IT leadership and accountability across many key financial processes - Procure‑to‑Pay, Record‑to‑Report, Treasury & Cash Management, Tax, Master Data, Time & Pay and M&A.
  • Translate Finance priorities and regulatory requirements into an executable roadmap with measurable value.
  • Ensure solutions are standardized, scalable, automated where valuable, and compliant by design.

Delivery, Risk & Controls

  • Lead large‑scale global initiatives across design, build, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
  • Embed SOX, internal controls, segregation of duties, and data integrity into system design.
  • Balance speed, cost, and risk through disciplined scope and change management.

Architecture, Data & Integration

  • Own Finance application architecture and integration strategy.
  • Simplify and rationalize systems and interfaces.
  • Enable trusted financial data through strong data governance and reconciliation strategies.

Financial & People Leadership

  • Own program budgets, forecasts, and financial governance.
  • Build and lead high‑performing global teams and domain leaders.

Executive Communication & Influence

  • Clearly articulate options, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior executives.
  • Produce concise, decision‑oriented, and visually compelling materials.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Finance and IT leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years leading enterprise IT transformations, with deep Finance systems experience.
  • 10+ years supporting Corporate Accounting, AP, Treasury, Tax, Close, and/or Payroll.
  • Proven delivery of global Finance platforms in regulated environments.
  • Strong knowledge of financial controls, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Demonstrated success leading large, complex global programs.
  • Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high‑tech, manufacturing, or capital equipment industries.
  • ERP‑centric Finance transformation experience (e.g., SAP S/4HANA or equivalent).
  • Exposure to advanced close, treasury management, tax engines, and payroll ecosystems.
  • MBA or master’s degree in a relevant field.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
