Role Overview
This position reports to the Sr Finance manager of Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) product portfolio. The analyst is an experienced finance professional who will apply foundational accounting and financial costing expertise to support investment decision-making, resource planning, and portfolio prioritization across the Metal ALD (MALD) and Dielectric ALD (DALD) product portfolios.
This role is ideal for a candidate with 3–5 years of relevant experience who is eager to grow their strategic finance skills while collaborating with cross-functional partners including Product Marketing, Program Management, Product Engineering, and Operations. The candidate will receive guidance from senior finance leadership while owning meaningful deliverables independently.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio & Investment Management
- Support the development and maintenance of the resource plan by program for the MALD and DALD portfolios, including headcount (HC), operating spend, and capital expenditure (CapEx).
- Assist in project funding prioritization by helping define scope, timeline, and valuation, and preparing materials for leadership approval.
- Maintain a regular cadence of portfolio program reviews with key stakeholders, tracking milestone status for continued funding decisions.
- Contribute to CapEx strategy planning and assist in prioritization trade-off analysis under the guidance of senior team members and business owners.
Business Case & Financial Modeling
- Partner cross-functionally to support quarterly updates of program business case NPV models, including Revenue, COS, OpEx, and Cash Flow forecasting.
- Prepare financial decision support and scenario analyses for portfolio prioritization changes.
- Develop presentation materials to communicate business case financials to senior management with increasing independence over time.
Headcount & Resource Planning
- Support HC ramp logic, phasing, and risk assessment by preparing analyses and scenario models for finance and HR review.
- Assist in driving HC review cadences with HR and General Managers by preparing data-driven summaries and presentations.
- Support productivity tracking and reporting to identify resource gaps and opportunities.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate and partner with nearshore finance consultants on in-quarter spend execution and management
- Ensure portfolio requirements are accurately captured for finance budgets and plans, including oversight of IQSM and CQ+1 spend guardrails.
- Maintain data accuracy and contribute to the finance team’s ability to “tell the story” of the business unit through forecasting, financial close, and balance sheet integrity.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and data quality in existing reporting processes.
- Own Customer Evaluation Opex forecasting and support ROI analysis
Qualifications & Preferences
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), investment management, budget management, or a related finance function.
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling; exposure to decision modeling techniques (scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis) is a plus.
- Experience with one or more financial systems (e.g., Anaplan, SAP BPC, Tableau, or similar ERP/planning tools).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial findings to cross-functional teams and managers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a matrixed organization.
Preferred
- Experience supporting portfolio or program-level financial management in a technology, semiconductor, or R&D-intensive environment.
- Exposure to headcount planning, CapEx tracking, or investment governance processes.
- Familiarity with P&L reporting and basic accounting principles.
- Experience partnering with nearshore or offshore finance teams.
- Demonstrated curiosity about the business, initiative, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

NoThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
