Our Mechanical Engineers play a critical role in enabling our customer’s success. In this role, you will partner with our globally recognized R&D teams while working directly with our customers in their fabs to develop solutions that power the semiconductor industry. Mechanical Engineers work across technologies such as: Chemical Vapor Deposition, Atomic Layer Deposition, Plasma Reactive Ion Etch, Physical Vapor Deposition, Anneal and Implant.
Responsibilities
- Lead data collection from custom metrology stands and analyze data under general supervision to validate & refine models predicting performances of complex electro-mechanical products eg electrostatic chuck
- Lead or assist in the design, development and implementation of electrostatic chucks, custom metrology stands, and associated processes to enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle
- Assist and explore a range of thermal, structural, and fluidic optimization algorithms to suggest the best approaches of predicting performance of complex electromechanical products
- Design or modify mechanical engineering layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of moderate scope under general supervision
- Coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components/equipment and identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve moderately complex technical issues
- Troubleshoot a variety of mechanical problems of moderate difficultly under general supervision
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot ESC issues and qualify designs in chamber environments
Qualifications
- Graduating with an advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Thorough knowledge of engineering design, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, stress analysis & testing
- Extensive experience in fluid-thermal, thermo-electrical & FEA structural modeling (COMSOL, OpenFoam, CFD Ace, Ansys, etc)
- Fluency in CAD tools (eg Siemens Nx, SpaceClaim, Solidworks, Unigraphics, AutoCAD)
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal skills to explain complex information, build trust & creatively problem-solving skills
- Flexible and adaptable mindset who thrives in a results-driven culture

NoThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
