Materials Project Manager

Traineeship Project Description

Support the Materials Management team in conducting supply chain analytics and demand planning activities across contract manufacturers (CMs) and their sub-tier suppliers. The trainee will analyze material demand signals, map product and component supply chains, and develop visibility into end-to-end demand requirements. The project will involve consolidating forecasts, identifying critical components and capacity constraints, and creating data-driven insights to support demand ramp planning and supply readiness. The trainee will work closely with internal planning teams, contract manufacturers, and key suppliers to improve supply chain transparency and forecasting accuracy.

Desired Skills Required:

Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and data analysis techniques

Knowledge of supply chain, demand planning, inventory management, and forecasting concepts

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities from data

Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage

Effective communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to work independently and manage complex analytical tasks

Learning Outcome:

Gain hands-on experience in end-to-end supply chain and materials management processes

Develop practical skills in demand forecasting, supply planning, and supply chain risk assessment

Learn how to map contract manufacturer and sub-tier supplier ecosystems to improve supply visibility

Enhance data analytics capabilities through the analysis of demand, inventory, and component requirements

Understand how supply chain data is used to support business decisions during demand ramps and production scale-up activities

Build experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Supplier Management functions

Develop recommendations to improve forecasting accuracy, supply readiness, and operational efficiency
