Role Description
Looking for a motivated leader to support the setup, ramp and operations of our next-generation semiconductor manufacturing line. In this role, you will provide leadership and direction to production, supply chain and engineeringto achieve key business objectives. You will be responsible fordelivering products to meet revenue goals, managingproduction and engineering schedules, driving deliverables, and defining processes for a smooth technology transfer and ramp to full production. You will be accountable for the performance and results of diverse job families and departments within a major business unit. Your expertise in launching high-volume consumer electronics components and working with foundries or contract manufacturers (CMs) will be critical to a successful and efficient fab ramp-up.
Key Responsibilities
Provides executive leadership to a major manufacturing / supply chain function supporting a large and complex business unit. May lead functional operations at multiple manufacturing sites. Establishes and monitors production using metrics/budgets through systems, and initiates appropriate corrective action as needed and based on results. Establishes and controls project schedules, timelines.
Plans and evaluates optimal resource utilization and efficiency of operation to minimize costs and allow for on-time delivery of product to customers. Accurately establishes plant capacity.
Responsible for ensuring preparedness and support of assigned new product and enhanced product commercialization plans through the global supply base (R&D support and New Product Introduction support).
Directs, guides, monitors, and evaluates Operations Team personnel to accomplish specific production and supply chain goals consistent with established operational, housekeeping (5S), and safety procedures and processes. Engage in problem solving in complex situations and process improvements in streamlining work processes.
Leads continuous improvement efforts and projects to refine production methods and processes to produce quality products that meet customer requirements in the most cost-effective manner.
Identifies and pursues new technologies to improve production, increase efficiency and resource utilization and maximize profitability.
Works closely with members of Senior and Executive Management to ensure the Operations function meets and supports their strategic roadmaps and achieves key operational performance metrics to include: delivery of commitments towards customer orders, attainment of financial revenue with gross margin targets, and predictable shipped product quality.
May provide ownership / leadership for a major divisional function, project, or program (i.e., Inventory Management, AMPS/Lean, Responsiveness / Agility). Provides leadership, guidance, mentorship, and personal development of his/her direct reports in the areas of daily operational management, systems development, and optimization.
Identifies process and quality changes designed to improve manufacturing or department capabilities. Drives Lean, Safety and Quality. Takes corrective action.
Qualifications
At least 10 to 15 years of semiconductor wafer fab production experience.
Strong organization, management, communication skills with attention to details.
Experience in people and team management will be essential.
Experienced in setting up pilot production from scratch or transferred technology from site to site and ramp from pilot to production.
Experience supporting consumer product developmentis advantageous.
Experience in managing multiple projects within scope, budget, and timeline with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
Demonstrated ability and experience to work, solve complex problems and drive projects to end goal completions.
Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs, FA/CA tracking, and structured issue closure processes to support operational excellence.
Comfortable working across time zones, collaborating with remote teams, and supporting factory-side execution.
Flexibility to travel back and forth between Southeast Asia and the USA (up to 25%).
Minimum bachelor’s degree in STEM disciplines e.g. Physics, Chemistry, Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Science Engineering.
