As a Manufacturing Engineer, you are responsible for developing and maintaining methods, operating sequences, and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. You'll work closely with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and new products, and you'll use engineering principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing costs, improve product quality, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements. Your expertise in lean principles, automation, and continuous improvement will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and achieving higher levels of productivity and cost-effectiveness. You'll develop and use test procedures, evaluate test results, and assess work methods, procedures, and policies to identify root cause issues and solutions that ensure operational success.

Key Responsibilities (Manufacturing Engineer: Supplier-Owned Core Module)

Technical Expertise Development

Gain in-depth knowledge of the supplier-built module, including design, BOM, OMS and manufacturing Build & Test processes.
Maintain technical documentation and troubleshooting guides.

Supplier Module Quality Control

Monitor and ensure the quality of supplier-shipped Core Modules meets specifications and BU NC goals.
Conduct regular reviews of supplier quality metrics and drive continuous improvement.

Shipment Enablement

Provide technical support to suppliers to resolve manufacturing Build or test issues and facilitate timely shipment.
Review and approve Build/test data and readiness for shipment.

Product Transition & Supplier Qualification

Support product transitions to existing or new suppliers by providing documentation, training, and technical support.
Assist in validation processes for supplier qualification, including audits and Qual builds.

Issue Resolution & CAPA

Respond promptly to production issues related to supplier modules.
Lead root cause analysis and drive suppliers to implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Actively engage with MPM, Supplier Quality Engineers, Operations, DEA, and Customers to resolve field escalations.
Implement CAPA for field failures and ensure feedback loops to Supplier, Design, Manufacturing teams and Field.

Test Fixture Deployment & Management

Deploy, calibrate, and maintain test fixtures at supplier sites.
Train supplier personnel on fixture usage and ensure compliance with calibration and maintenance schedules.

Supplier Quality Monitoring

Regularly monitor supplier performance against quality targets and NC goals.
Publish supplier scorecards and conduct reviews to ensure alignment with BU objectives.

Requirements

  • Min 3 years of experiences as Manufacturing Engineer in semiconductor/ electronics or engineering industries

  • Relevant Engineering qualifications

  • Able to work with any levels of stakeholders globally

  • Able to attend global meetings of different time zones

  • Project management experiences would be an added advantage

  • Microsoft excel and Tableau

  • Good Communication
