Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. Compare measurement outputs against design requirements and determines pass/fail.
  • Close collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and qualify automated inspection solutions ensuring design for manufacturability and smooth production ramp-up.
  • Design and deploy visual inspection techniques for optic product that will be used to qualify automated inspection machine.
  • Refine defect inspection techniques and process monitoring to proactively investigate and resolve BEOL cosmetic defects and abnormalities.
  • Design, train and qualify inspectors ensuring Kappa >85%.  
  • Collaborate with customer on inspection challenges and negotiate appropriate specification.
  • Design efficient operation workflow for outgoing inspection lots & sample handling.
  • Strong analytical skills and statistical methods (like Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments) to interpret large volumes of data, identify root causes of yield/performance issues, and implement mitigation plans.
  • Work closely with process / integration/ reliability team; internal/external customers to ensure seamless integration, address issues, and meet product specifications and quality standards.
  • Oversee the selection, qualification, installation, and maintenance of specialized metrology and inspection equipment, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Generate technical reports, documentation, and specifications, and train other engineers in measurement techniques and troubleshooting. 

Functional Knowledge

  • Experience in BEOL optics or semiconductor fabrication preferred
  • Demonstrates depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized discipline or field
