As a Systems Engineer, you’ll design, integrate, and optimize complex systems that drive the semiconductor industry forward. Your expertise in systems thinking and problem-solving is essential as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop advanced solutions to intricate processes and writing system specifications. You’ll be responsible for analyzing requirements, defining system architectures, conducting thorough testing, and ensuring seamless integration of subsystems. Additionally, you’ll identify and mitigate risks, confirming that our systems meet the highest quality standards and exceed customer expectations.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead the definition, design, and development of complex components, modules, and subsystems, ensuring alignment with Market Requirement Specifications (MRS).

  • Contribute to system engineering specifications across disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithms, and software, with a strong understanding of system-level implications.

  • Coordinate with project marketing, management, and engineering teams to understand subsystem requirements and drive architecture brainstorming, evaluation, and down-selection to optimal subsystem solutions.

  • Perform detailed engineering analyses and develop architectural design concepts, providing recommendations for the best system-level approach.

  • Build, procure, and qualify prototypes or subsystems (including vendor-supplied solutions), ensuring compliance with detailed specifications and reliability standards.

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex engineering challenges, including considerations for manufacturability and serviceability.

  • Support system integration activities, including assembly, final testing, reliability validation, and implementation of design or operational improvements as needed.

  • Provide onsite and remote technical support to field teams, vendors, and customers, including travel when required for testing and qualification activities.

  • Serve as Program Coordinator for DCR and Sequoia projects within the Epi manufacturing division, driving cross-functional execution and delivery.

  • Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities for Epi chambers and tools, including coordinating alternative design development and release with engineering teams.

  • Manage vendor engagement and coordinate activities to support design changes, validation, and project execution.

  • Drive product structure updates and changes to enable Sequoia program objectives.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute experiments to support Sequoia initiatives, ensuring proper documentation and analysis of results.

  • Create, modify, and release engineering and manufacturing documentation, including development and release of iOMS documents to support program requirements.

Role Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, or related).

  • Experience in subsystem design, integration, and multi-disciplinary engineering.

  • Proven project/program coordination and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capability.

  • Experience with vendors, manufacturing, and design changes.

  • Familiarity with testing, validation, and engineering documentation (e.g., iOMS).

  • Good communication skills and willingness to travel.
