  • Key Responsibilities

    • Review and understand internal metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) and recognize how daily activities contribute to operational performance.
    • Follow established transportation and logistics processes and work instructions to ensure consistent service delivery.
    • Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvements that enhance service performance, efficiency, or cost effectiveness.
    • Support quality and operational standards by following documented procedures and quality management system (QMS) requirements.
    • Coordinate and arrange domestic shipments to support customer delivery commitments and achieve service-level targets.
    • Track shipments and communicate shipment status, delays, or delivery issues to internal stakeholders.
    • Maintain accurate transportation records within company systems.
    • Support daily transportation operations by working with carriers, warehouse personnel, and internal teams to resolve routine shipment and logistics issues.
    • Ensure adherence to safety requirements and company operational policies in all logistics and transportation activities.

    Functional Knowledge

    • Demonstrates knowledge of logistics, transportation, supply chain, or related business concepts typically acquired through education or internship experience.
    • Applies foundational business knowledge gained through academic coursework, internships, or related experience.
    • Uses established procedures and guidelines to resolve routine transportation and logistics issues.
    • Escalates complex issues appropriately while learning to analyze operational data and identify solutions.
    • Contributes to team objectives through accurate execution of assigned tasks and adherence to established processes.
    • Works within standard procedures to meet service, quality, and productivity goals.
    • Communicates clearly with team members, carriers, warehouse personnel, and internal stakeholders.
    • Exchanges straightforward information, asks questions, and seeks guidance to ensure understanding and successful task completion.

      Education & Experience (Recommended Addition)

      • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
      • Internship, co-op, or classroom project experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or operations is a plus but not required.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
      • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and willingness to learn transportation and logistics operations.
