As a Manufacturing Technician, you'll work hands-on in a cleanroom environment to build and test our multimillion-dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment that’s behind the technology we use every day. You'll be responsible for building, repairing, and testing various types of equipment--including electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components. You will perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting, and repairs-- and perform audits to ensure necessary parts are available and inspected for defects. Using test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps you'll test assemblies, complete documentation, perform repairs, or install software to continuously improve our processes.Role Responsibilities:
- Perform incoming, in-process and final inspections of manufactured parts
- Able to perform unaided visual inspection of glass under bright light as well as dark field
- Use precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, measuring microscopes and OGP.
- Perform defect classification and work closely with engineering team for process improvement or resolve quality issues.
- Identify issues and recommend improvements to enhance inspection effectiveness.
- Prepare outgoing quality records as required
- Record and report inspection results accurately, maintaining proper documentation and traceability.
Requirements
- Minimum Nitec/Higher Nitec in Mechatronics, Precision Engineering, Opticianry or any other relevant qualification
- Experience with parts inspection within manufacturing environment of semiconductor, optics and photonics
- Proficient in using vernier calipers, micrometers, and measuring microscopes
- Experience with Smart Scope and Vision Measurement Systems is advantage
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoints, Teams.
- Strong attention to detail, with good documentation and communication skills
- Abilities to speak write English and Chinese
- Able to travel, work rotating shift and support over-time when required
