Overview:We are seeking an Environmental Engineer to support the Taiwan team as their main environmental point of contact and act as the APAC Environmental COE Representative. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of environmental regulations and be familiar with semiconductor equipment and processes.

General Profile:

  • Works well within a team to communicate and complete environmental tasks.
  • Accountable for the performance and results of the Taiwan site and able to support other Asia Pacific locations.
  • Adapts plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
  • Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, and business unit plans; receives guidance from the manager.
  • Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise and guidance on environmental requirements for projects and design reviews, including tool installs, abatement units, facility upgrades, and construction.
  • Maintain communication channels with site/location functions.
  • Support the Taiwan facility with a strong working knowledge of Taiwan regulations.
  • Communicate environmental requirements and compliance activities within the local team.
  • Support regional remote sites on environmental compliance issues, with periodic travel required.
  • Oversee consultants at regional and local sites to drive environmental performance and compliance.
  • Implement environmental programs to ensure compliance with permitting and reporting requirements for air, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, and spill prevention.
  • Ensure compliance with hazardous materials regulations, including chemical inventory maintenance, environmental regulation applicability reviews, storage threshold assessments, spill/release notifications, and hazardous materials transportation requirements.
  • Conduct proper investigations of EH&S events and drive corrective actions.
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory authorities for environmental requirements.
  • Track and trend EH&S and product-related legislation and take appropriate action to comply with requirements.
  • Participate in the evaluation of emerging global environmental regulations and assess their impact on operations.
  • Communicate EH&S environmental issues to management and employees and generate necessary reports and documentation.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree

Experience:

  • 5-10 years of EHS technical experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience in leading/participating in regional teams
