General Profile

Requires in‑depth knowledge and experience. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal and external business issues to improve products or services. The role has accountability for leading, governing, and optimizing Inbound and Outbound logistics operations executed by a third‑party logistics provider, ensuring performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate, analyze, and report internal logistics metrics/KPIs related to Inbound and Outbound flows. Monitor service performance, identify trends, and log exceptions. Drive corrective actions with the third‑party logistics provider.

  • Ensure adherence to established business processes across Inbound and Outbound operations. Support the design and implementation of new logistics processes. Lead process improvement initiatives with local scope to improve service levels and/or minimize logistics costs.

  • Ensure compliance and control to Quality standards for outsourced logistics activities. Review and report weekly status of logistics control reports, including inbound in‑transit, cycle counts, inventory accuracy, receiving, and outbound shipping performance.

  • Lead governance of inventory control by reviewing discrepancy reports (receiving, picking, shipping, and stock accuracy) provided by the third‑party. Provide recommendations and corrective action plans to management.

  • Act as key point of contact for internal and external audit requests related to logistics. Gather, validate, and provide required Inbound and Outbound data and documentation.

  • Maintain logistics information databases, dashboards, and data accuracy in line with corporate policies. Ensure data generated by the third‑party logistics provider is reliable, timely, and compliant.

  • Lead and oversee Inbound and Outbound import/export activities managed by the third party. Prepare, review, and validate documentation such as customs declarations, shipper’s letters of instruction (SLI), export declarations, and import certificates. Ensure commercial and sales invoices accurately reflect physical shipments, quantities, value, country of origin, and regulatory requirements. Ensure efficient and compliant movement of goods under applicable local, national, and international customs laws.

  • Provide operational leadership to the third‑party logistics provider, including daily prioritization, escalation management, performance reviews, and alignment on service level agreements (SLAs) for Inbound and Outbound operations.

Other Requirements: This position may require standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools.
